After multiple delays, the trial of the man accused of brutally torturing Puppy Doe will finally face trial on August 1, 2017. The start date will mark nearly four years since Kiya, who later became known as “Puppy Doe”, was found near death in the Quincy Massachusetts park next to the house where the accused held her captive.

At present, the accused is in state prison on unrelated charges involving stealing money from a New Bedford Massachusetts church.
